This years Boxing Day Tournament winners were Andy Fowler and Diane Taylor, they managed to beat Richard Andrew and Karloyn Hustler in the final. 3rd place went to Henry Andrew and Dave Burridge who beat, Roger Darling and Nikki McGrath in the 3rd/4th playoff.
There was a good turn out with 12 parings , split into 2 groups of 6 for the round robin portion of the tournament. Everything was ably organised by Steven Taylor, and most importantly there was plenty of bacon butties and chocolates for everyone. A good day was had by all.
It’s still not too late to enter the Boxing Day (+1) Tournament. It’s the 82nd edition taking place on Friday the 27th of December. The fun and games will start at mid-day, and it will cost £5 which goes towards prizes, bacon butties and a bit of fundraising. If you are planning to take part please let me or Mark know directly. Handicaps will be worked out once all entries are in. Please let me or Mark know if you would like to take part. It is open to everyone, so feel free to bring any non-playing partners.

Congratulations to the D Team in winning their preliminary cup round last week, they will now go forward to the first round proper in January. No fixtures this week. Juniors on Monday and club night on Wednesday.

As there was such a great turn out at last years Boxing Day+1 tournament, we are planning to do the same again this year. So the date for your diary is Thursday the 27th of December 2018. This will be the 81st edition of this great tradition, and it would be great to see as many participants as last time.
