Club Night/Summer Club/Mid Lancs Presentation

We have switched Club Night to Mondays @ 7:30pm. There will be 2 more, before the May Bank Holiday after which we will switch to Summer Club from June the 5th. Summer club will be £3 for existing members and £4 for visitors.

The Mid Lancs Presentation happens this Friday, the 19th of May @ Wellington Park. Its usually doors open for 6:30pm sitting down by 7:00pm.

If you are planning on entering the Mixed Tournament, which is on the 9th of April, then entries should be in by this Friday the 31st of March.

The early bird deadline for the Presentation has gone, but you can still order up to the 23rd of April at the full price of  £26.00 and juniors £24.

Club nights will swap to Mondays from early May, which will be the home for Summer Club if we have enough people who want to take part.

Please find attached the menu for the forthcoming Annual Mid Lancs
Dinner Dance for the 2016 – 2017 Season to be held this year at
Wellington Park, on Friday 19th May 2017.

Please either co-ordinate with your team captain or club secretary to
choose menu options and forward correct payment to myself by the dates
given on the booking form.

If you have any specific dietary requirements or any food allergies,
please let me know at your earliest convenience and I will co-ordinate
with the catering staff at Wellington Park.

Starters, choose from…

Companion of Melon (v)  –  Galia and Cantaloupe melon entwined together and served with berries and a fruit coulis

Chicken Liver Pate  –  Smooth Chicken liver pate served with Cumberland Sauce, petit salad and a wedge of bread

Mushroom and Stilton Soup (v)

Mains, choose from…

(All main courses are served with a selection of potatoes and vegetables)

Traditional Roast Beef – Roast Beef seasoned with black pepper and sea salt, served with a rich roasting gravy and Yorkshire pudding

Roast Pork Loin  –  Slow Roasted Pork Loin seasoned with cracked black pepper and served with a cider sauce

Chicken Roulade  –  A Chicken fillet filled with goat cheese and thyme, wrapped in bacon and served with a creamy white wine and thyme sauce

Red Pepper and Goat Cheese Tart (v)  –  Roasted Red Pepper in a short crust pastry, topped with a creamy goat cheese served with a rich italian sauce

Presentation Reminder

Just a reminder that the dinner dance is at South Ribble Civic Centre. Doors will be open from 6.30pm and food will be served at 7.15pm prompt.
Unfortunately they can only provide the 1 bar but have organised more staff to man it.

Just a reminder the League is having its Presentation Evening on 20 May (details in handbook). If you intend going all monies and food choices need to be with Janette Norris by 30 April.

News 21st of April

The hall is going to be used for a Cup Final on Monday so there will be no club night next week. The week after is the Bank Holiday, which means we are into Summer Club on the 9th of May before badminton returns to the hall. Rates will be £3 for this seasons members and £4 for visitors.

If you want to go to the Presentation Dinner and have not already paid for your ticket, please get in touch with Janette or Matt ASAP so they can finalise numbers.
