Mid Lancs AGM 2016

Message From Sam Gorrell:

Hi All

Hope you’ve all had a lovely bank holiday weekend.

Just a reminder that this year’s AGM will take place at 7:30pm this Wednesday 04 May at St Andrews Badminton Club, Parish Church Hall, Worden Lane, Leyland PR15 3BD. Please note that this is different to the date stated in the handbook.

In readiness for Wednesday’s meeting, please find attached the proposed rule changes received from Cross Feathers Badminton Club as well as from the Officers of the League. These proposals will be discussed and voted upon.

Please note that anyone who is a registered player with the Mid Lancs League has a right to attend the AGM and vote, so please encourage all your club members who would like to be present to come along as well.

I have also attached the proposed Agenda and the minutes from the last AGM for approval.

You will note from the Agenda that one item for discussion is Teams In/Out for next season. Please can I ask that all secretaries give this some thought as any early responses as to possible new teams joining the league and existing teams leaving would assist Paul to consider the league formation in advance of next month’s Fixtures and Handicapping Committee meeting.
See you all there!

Kind regards

Sam

New Mid Lancs AGM Date and Rule Change Proposals

Message From Sam Gorrell:

Hi All

Final Proposed Rule Changes (AGM 2016)

The deadline has now closed for club secretaries to put forward proposals for any changes to the league rules which they would like to see made ahead of the start of next season.

I have attached a copy of the proposals that I have received, which will be voted upon at the forthcoming AGM.

Please can I remind all secretaries that these proposals will be voted upon by the Executive Committee of the League which comprises all registered members.  Each member has one vote, which can only be exercised by attending the AGM in person.  So, please can I ask that you forward the attached to all members of your club and invite them to come along to the AGM if they wish to support or oppose any of the proposals that have been made.

Please can I also draw your attention to the fact that the date for the AGM has been changed from the date detailed in your handbooks.  The AGM will now take place at:

7:30pm on Wednesday 04 May 2016 in St. Andrew’s Parish Church Hall, Worden Lane, Leyland PR25 3BD

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Otherwise, I look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it at the AGM on 04 May.

Kind regards
Sam

News 21st of April

The hall is going to be used for a Cup Final on Monday so there will be no club night next week. The week after is the Bank Holiday, which means we are into Summer Club on the 9th of May before badminton returns to the hall. Rates will be £3 for this seasons members and £4 for visitors.

If you want to go to the Presentation Dinner and have not already paid for your ticket, please get in touch with Janette or Matt ASAP so they can finalise numbers.
