Report from Paul Eastham
In this final report of the year, division 1’s Hawks A got beat 5-13 at home to the Champs, David Lloyd. Julian’s nails had dried & therefore was free to play; as was Chris Hoyle, who was ‘allowed’ to play out…. But despite the full team, the home side still failed to get any points. Darren Whitley was the MOTM on the evening for once again taking all of his 6 games.
MGS B got beat 5-13 by Cross Feathers who maintain a comfortable 2nd place on the tables after the 4 point max win. The best players on the evening in this tie was Fay Andrews & Rachael Graham who both won 6 games each. I can’t be assed chasing Crusaders A up any more, I believe the score was 2-16 against Carlton A.
The old school met this week… St. Andrews v MGS A, but it wasn’t the old school score that I’ve been used to in the past! The hosts fell 5-13 to not even get the bonus point to be in the very unusual position on the table of ‘bottom of the middle’. Pete Fernes was the MOTM in this match to help lift MGS above Andy’s, but both teams are adrift from past seasons form.

Message From Sam Gorrell
Apologies for the delay in sending out this reminder about Monday’s Annual General Meeting.
Now that the Welcome Tavern has undergone its transformation into a Bistro Pub, there’s no longer space amongst all the dining table to have our meeting, and I’ve been struggling to find a replacement venue. However, St Andrews have kindly offered their Church Hall.
So, the AGM will commence at 7:30pm this Monday 13 April at St Andrews Badminton Club, Parish Church Hall, Worden Lane, Leyland PR15 3BD.
In readiness for Monday, please find attached the proposed rule changes received from Cross Feathers Badminton Club and Project 12 Badminton Club, as well as from the Officers of the League. These proposals will be discussed and voted upon.
Please note that anyone who is a registered player with the Mid Lancs League has a right to attend the AGM and vote, so please encourage all your club members who would like to be present to come along as well.
I have also attached the proposed Agenda and the minutes from the last AGM for approval.
See you all there!
