This is your early warning for the annual St Andrews Boxing Day Tournament.
As there was such a great turn out at last years Boxing Day+1 tournament, we are planning to do the same again this year. So the date for your diary is Thursday the 27th of December 2018. This will be the 81st edition of this great tradition, and it would be great to see as many participants as last time.
Better late than never, but a Happy New year to all, best wished for 2018.
We had a great turnout at the Boxing Day competition, loads of faces from past and present teams, and some juniors taking part. Winners on the day were Lizzie Balmforth and Phil Newsome, and runners up Seb Curry and Colin Marney, with Karolyn Hustler and Roger Darling taking 3rd.
Boxing Day Early Waning!!
I know we have yet to see Halloween, never mind Bonfire Night, but this year is the 80th anniversary of the Boxing Day tournament, and we are planning to run it on Wednesday the 27th of December to maximise turnout at the tournament and the meal afterwards. Put it in your diary.
In the league every team now has a win under their belt which is fantastic. Great start to the season. Club nights have been a bit of a battle with the A Team having so many home fixtures, but turnout has been good, and the A Team will have to reverse all those fixtures.
