Please can you ensure that if you are wanting to play on Boxing Day that you let Mark know this weekend and NOT on the day- because contrary to popular belief, partners are drawn out and handicaps are formulated prior to the day!! The earlier you let him know the better your handicap! Except for you Daz!!!
Tickets for Friday are selling out fast! The event starts at 7.30 with food being served at 8pm, so dont be late or Daz and Mark will have eaten yours!!
There will be a few activities on the evening and a short presentation. We will also be holding a raffle and any prizes would be much appreciated!!
See you on Friday!!

In the absence of Mark who was making his comeback in the 1st team I thought I would write the report! Clitheroe seemed to have a stronger team than when they played at home against us, although curiously their strongest lady played against our D team on Monday night!! This put the team and particularly Laura under pressure when I pointed out that the lady lost 3 games, 2 of them to Hannah!! However with some excellent banter and team spirit, the team soon got into their stride and were 7 – 1 up after the levels! Matt and Sarah had a close game after being 5- 13 down in their first they got back to 13 before finally losing out, but they came back fighting and won the next convincingly! Jared and Laura eased their way through their games and Jack and Rachael were unfortunate to lose their 2 games to a very experienced mixed couple. At this point Id like to point out to Laura, that she needs to listen to her own coaching tip of “you know those things on the end of your legs Jack – you need to move them…”
A convincing victory for the youngsters ( yes Sarah you are included in that because you were younger than most of the opposition!), A great team atmosphere well done guys!
Monday night coaching will begin at 6.30pm on 31st October – Halloween!! Players of league or just below league standard, between the ages of 14 and 19, members and non members are welcome ! However there is a good standard and numbers are limited, so unfortunately this is not a social session or appropriate for beginners! The cost is £3 for non members, for 1 hours coaching! 4th team members are not expected to attend the session if they have a match (Colin says you might peak too early!!) However other teams have no excuse!!! For further information contact Helen Pallett or Colin Marney.
